Eigentlich als Microserver gedacht, ist das HP Proliant N36L ebenfalls bekannt als das NAS System mit dem vielleicht besten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis am Markt und hervorragender Produktqualität und Leistungsfähigkeit. Es können bis zu 5 Festplatten eingesetzt werden und somit ergibt sich ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für ein NAS System dieser Leistungsfähigkeit.
Wir empfehlen evtl. noch eine Speichererweiterung MIT ECC Speicher (siehe Zubehör) und perrekt verwalten lässt sich dieses Gerät mit dem HP Remont Access Managmant Card Fernverwaltungsadapter (siehe Zubehör)

Der HP ProLiant MicroServer wendet sich sowohl an ambitionierte Privatkunden wie auch an Klein- und Großunternehmen. Die Voraussetzungen dafür könnte er erfüllen: klein, leise, energieeffizient.
Der MicroServer ist für Unternehmen mit bis zu zehn PC-Arbeitsplätzen konzipiert und soll primär als Fileserver für Unternehmensdaten dienen. Er ist mit einem Athlon-II- Prozessor bestückt, bietet maximal 8 GByte DDR3- Arbeitsspeicher und Gigabit- Ethernet. Es ist Platz für insgesamt vier 3,5-Zoll-Festplatten vorhanden, zudem gibt es noch zwei Erweiterungs-Slots für PCIe-Einschübe halber Länge.
Trotzdem ist er bei ganzen 267 mm Höhe ausgesprochen klein und bei 21dB sehr leise. Die Stromversorgung ist auf 200 Watt ausgelegt. Der Stromverbrauch ist beim MicroServer etwa 150 Watt niedriger als vergleichbare Einstiegsserver, die Energieeffizienz um 85 Prozent besser.
